What can I expect?
Think a day is too short to see Rome's highlights? Think again. This tour's savvy guides and skip-the-line access make it possible. Don't settle for saying “I've been there." Instead, spend a day truly getting to know Rome and come away with a true appreciation for its cultural and historic significance.
The guides on this tour are experts in art history and archaeology. They know tried and trusted routes through high-traffic areas and will lead you seamlessly from point to point. Tour groups are kept small, meaning you'll never find yourself standing in the back of a crowd, unable to hear your guide speak.
The history of Rome will come to life as you walk the former paths of emperors and tyrants like Julius Caesar. At the Colosseum, you'll enter just as the gladiators did: via Gladiator’s Gate, a side entrance reserved for certain tour operators. And as for art, there's a special connection you can only get when you view the works of the Renaissance greats in person, standing in the buildings they designed.
Your morning itinerary will include the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Trajan's column, and the Pantheon. As you go, you'll see the squares, piazzas, and other features that make Rome a paragon of urban architecture. Remember to follow Sinatra's instructions and throw three coins in the Trevi fountain!
The afternoon starts after you have had time on your own for lunch. You'll rejoin the tour group and skip the line into Vatican City, which holds the largest collection of art in the world. While you may find the Sistine Chapel to be the highlight of the Vatican, Michelangelo isn't the only superstar around: the Vatican Museum is packed with work from the biggest names in classical art, including another someone you might know from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle days.
At the end of your tour, you will be free to do some exploring on your own. Skip the line to St. Peter's Basilica and see Michelangelo's fame dome inside this magnificent church.
The last thing to do? Get yourself a gelato: you deserve a reward for this day!

Virkelig dygtige guider på turene
"Super dygtige og meget engagerede guider førte os en hel dag rundt i Roms gader og historie / højdepunkter."
Mette Th, 20 Feb 2020
Wonderful Rome (but you need to get your skates on)!
"The only drawback was two different venues as meeting points and there wasn’t much time to get to the afternoon venue."
"Det var en fantastisk guide, med stor viden og en usædvanlig positivitet og gejst. Det negative, informationen om, at vi selv skulle betale transporten fra torvet med de fire verdensdele til Vartiekan museet. det syntes jeg ikke fremgik tydeligt af Jeres program. Ellers en super service. Med venlig hilsen Johnny R. Hansen"
